Israel’s unprovoked attack on Iran is a war it may not be able to finish. This is why it is so dangerous. The Trump administration continues the fiction it was not directly involved. But involvement is now the key issue. Without American help Israel faces a strategic defeat. An American attack on Iran will be a strategic catastrophe.
