Rent Crisis Worsens, Record High Unemployment Continues

This comes as a new survey shows nearly a third of renters in single family or small multifamily properties, were unable to pay their rent in August. The primary reason given for not being able to pay is a loss of employment or reduced income, amid the coronavirus pandemic. Lawmakers remain deadlocked on a new relief package.
